I have conflicting feelings for Lone Star... I towed my vehicle here based on their good reviews. Yes, they did fix my vehicle and the repair seems quality. That's the main thing. They did give a loaner during the seven days they kept mine. Much appreciated. No problem there. I knew I'd be at their mercy and trust for the fix. They said my aftermarket AGM battery was bad and out of warranty and I needed to buy their new battery to complete diagnostics. I wasn't allowed to supply a battery. Either buy theirs or tow the car. Fine. I kinda get the reasoning. I approved their battery. Turns out my old battery was under warranty so I took it back to Advance Auto, after the fact, where they said it was still good. But, they warranty-swapped it anyway and now I have an extra new battery I don't need. (Kudos to Advance Auto for their customer service and honoring a warranty claim they technically didn't have to!) So who was really right regarding if my battery was bad? I'll never know, but I'm giving Loan Star the benefit of the doubt under the assumption they must have better equipment to diagnose batteries. I hope so. The thing that dings stars from this review is when I picked up my c

Terrible owner, terrible attitude! Would not recommend this place. I have taken my car here prior and had no issue, however this last time was not a good experience. Took my car in for a error message that popped up. Was told it would be x amount of dollars to fix it and we decided due to the amount to fix and age of my car we would look at getting a newer car. Not one time did they tell me my car would drive "off" because it is now lopsided because my air springs wouldn't fill up with air. They just handed me my keys and I paid my diagnostic fee and left. My drive home was terrible, I received it back worse than when we brought it in. When my husband called trying to get answers Trent immediately went on attack mode insinuating we wanted him to fix this for free. That was not the point of this phone call, a simple explanation is all we were asking for since our car is now lopsided. Trent was a complete hot head during the phone call and ended up hanging up on my husband when he was trying to ask questions. It really is a shame to have the owner be such a jerk to their customers when questions arise. Only positive they have the cutest office dog!

If only negative. stars were a thingβ¦. Two times I called to make an appt. (1st one they βscheduledβ me on a holiday, then were closed.) 2nd βappt,β I arrived and they had no idea what I was doing there as there was never an appt scheduled. Both calls, I was told that an 034 PCV hose would have to be purchased by them in order to warranty work. (We own the car, it runs great, and my son wants to do some cool aftermarket stuff. We had the brand new part from 034 but returned it so Lonestar Bavarian could re-order.) The young lady at the front said βWell, we donβt do that but I can go ask the owner.β Owner comes out and asks me what we are wanting to do in a very condescending manner. βWe donβt do that.β He said, which is totally fineβ¦however I wish I had been told that during either call when I explained what we were wanting. I tried to explain to the owner, that when we had spoken to Steve, he told us we needed to let them order the 034 part. The girl I spoke with the 2nd time, also told me this. His tone was disrespectful from the beginning. He asked me βSo what is wrong with the car?!β I replied, βNothing. Itβs perfect.β His response, βSo you want to put an after market part

My wife's pride and joy, 2103 Bentley Continental GT Speed, had the front air suspension leak to the point that it would not raise enough off the wheel wells. One of those not if but when repairs that Bentleys need. I spoke to Trent at Lone Star Bavarian and he was very helpful with how to get the vehicle to his shop and his knowledge of Bentleys. They provided a very reasonable estimate for the repair that was half of what another non mentioned facility had quoted in the past. I also wanted regular maintenance performed and they came back with recommended services and other fixes with again a reasonable estimate. All of the services, to include a front end body part, were done very quickly and the car looked beautifully detailed when we picked it up. This is the first time that I had that car in for service and it did not come out of service with more problems than it arrived with. Again won't mention the overpriced Dallas Bentley repair place that created more problems than they ever fixed with our vehicle. Very appreciative to Lone Star Bavarian for the great job that they did and the knowledge that if anything does go wrong with the vehicle I have a close, fair, and rel

If youβre handy enough to turn a wrench on basic maintenance items for a German car you might save a lot of money, but not a lot of time. If you take it to a competent mechanic youβll save a lot of time but not a lot of money. Pick your poison but also know when to say when on your shade tree abilities. In that spirit I brought my 12 year old Audi for a checkup as it will soon be handed down to my oldest child to start driving so I needed to make sure itβs safe and reliable, and I knew The battery was on its way out. left unaddressed it would surely leave a body stuck at the worst place and time. So knowing an Audi battery replacement is gonna run $500 at least I figured Iβd have the vehicle given a once over and began looking for an Audi focused shop. Turns out those are rare on this side of DFW but I found Lone Star here in FTW. Of course I read the reviews here on Google (enjoyed the 1 stars!) and could immediately tell this shop is legit. How? Well When the owner personally responds to each 1 star explaining in detail the issue for all to make their own judgment and conclusion, you know he cares about his reputation and the quality work it reflects. Trentβs shop is clean, welc
